Glebe Greenspace – Summer news

With a summer seemingly of equal parts sun and rain everything is growing fast  and it feels like our work on the Glebe is starting to pay off.

The first of the flowers for the church have been picked and we are starting to harvest the courgettes. Let us know if you are interested in some or can suggest a good home for any!

Allowing some areas to go a bit wilder is helping to make the Glebe feel more natural and is encouraging biodiversity and some interesting wild flowers. Our favourite so far is this wild orchid that popped up next to the pumpkin patch!:

So now is a great time to pop down to the Glebe to see how the space is developing and to enjoy it in it’s summer bloom.
We’ll be continuing to meet up over the rest of the summer so keep an eye out for announcements for further community days.

Please get in contact if you have any questions about the project or want to get involved – glebe.greenspace@gmail.com
