Thank you to all who supported our Christmas Fair on Saturday and congratulations to all our winners.
The Gingerbread Houses & Love Hearts had 22 entries which made the job of judging for Rev. Joanne Evans-Boiten very difficult. Congratulations to Katy for winning the love heart category, Susie for the individual house, the McNicol’s for the family section and Hannah for her excellent freestyle entry.
Our first ever Homemade Fruit Liqueur Competition was a great success with 12 excellent liqueurs put forward for tasting by Mr Shiva Kumar from Haddington Wine & Whiskies. Mr Kumar has provided very detailed feedback on every entry from sight, nose and palette (notes available on request). Mr Kumar’s comments were “What a combination of participants, it was a tough call to judge”. The best 3 were….in 3rd place a Sloe Gin from Russell Calder, 2nd was Irene Pow with her Bramble & Apple Gin and 1st place went to Stephanie Duncan with a Crème de Casis. Stephanie was awarded our new engraved liqueur trophy and a lovely bottle of whisky liqueur which were both donated very kindly from local residents.
And finally congratulations to Ritchie who won the massive Pooh bear after guessing the correct date Pooh got his first home.
We hope you all enjoyed the fair this year. The fundraising team are working on the final figure raised which we will announce shortly. Thanks again for all your support!
