Pop Up Businesses  – CAR WASH & HAND MASSAGE

Before the February break, the school classes welcomed a number of visitors to hear about a wide and varied range of jobs. There were great discussions and thoughtful questioning throughout as well as the opportunity to try out some of the skills needed. The culmination of the week was P1-3 and P4-7 running their own pop-up businesses, hand massage and car washing.

Following the success of these pop-up businesses the children are going to re-invest their profit and run them for the next few weeks again.

This will give the children the opportunity to now understand the cost of running a business as they will have to buy their own products, make a payment to those who donated their products to start up the businesses and work out if they are charging enough to cover their costs.

The two businesses will be run on a book ahead only system. We will be able to offer 2 car washes and 2 hand massages each week on a Thursday afternoon. Both services will be priced at £3.

Please contact Mrs Cameron in the office if you would like to book a slot – 01620 880 241.

Customer Feedback

“The car washing team did an amazing job getting the months of mud and dirt removed from my car. It was so shiny and clean my family almost didn’t recognise the car!!! Great job – I’ll be back and would thoroughly recommend ” Mrs S Morgan
