Hall 130509 002The Village Hall can be booked for many types of events such as Ceilidhs, plays, children’s parties, coffee mornings, clubs, sports activities. Rates are reasonable and include reductions for locals. Click here for rates.

The next Village Hall Committee AGM (and Athelstaneford Community Asssociation meeting) will be held on Tuesday 28 January 2020 at 7.30pm @ the Village Hall.  All welcome and refreshments will be provided.


Athelstaneford Village Hall was opened for use in November 1929. The ground was donated to the village by Sir David Alexander Kinloch, of Gilmerton, and the hall built by means of subscription and donations. It was given for use by the inhabitants of the parish of Athelstaneford and is held in a Trust according to the following constitution:
