Athelstaneford Community Group SCIO has been set up to advance the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of the residents of Athelstaneford and its surrounding area. It does this through:
- community development;
- the provision of recreational facilities or the support and organisation of recreational activities; and
- the protection and improvement of the natural environment.

The group’s current projects are:
- Community activities – organising a mix of activities to bring people together including weekly ‘Stitch and Knit’ sessions, a monthly coffee morning (first Saturday of the month) and social events.
- Park redevelopment – renewing the village park to make it welcoming and accessible for everyone
The first AGM of the group will be on Tuesday 30 April 2024 (7.45pm @ the Village Hall).
